The ACCOMMODATION is attractive and comfortable. The three guest bedrooms are tastefully furnished and have a washbasin, tea/coffee facilities and a radio/alarm clock. All look out onto the garden and farmland. There is private PARKING for your vehicle. BRAN MILL COTTAGE is a stone and brick country cottage SITUATED in typical North Cotswold countryside, a little off the beaten track but only four miles from Chipping Campden and Moreton-in-Marsh. The nearest pub and excellent food is just up the road, within walking distance - 1 mile away. For Garden lovers, Hidcote and Kiftsgate gardens are just 4 miles away, and many other places of interest (too numerous to mention) are also within easy reach. A network of footpaths is just a few yards from the house, the Diamond Way leads past it, and other long distance paths are close by. The Cotswolds are ideal for cyclists with many cycle paths including one leading along our quiet country road. Stratford is 15 miles away and Warwick and Kenilworth castles a little further. To Oxford and Gloucester it takes about 1 hour by car. We like to think that with our local knowledge and maps to lend we are able to help our guests make the most of their Cotswold stay. And after a busy day exploring the area they can relax on the patio, in the interesting garden or the sitting room with TV and radio and cups of tea or coffee if required. The 'mod cons' of our home are available to our guests on request. A FEW NOTES ABOUT ACCESS Car parking is on private ground and on gravel. The approach from the parking area to the house is over concrete slabs. Bran Mill Cottage has standard sized doors which are not wide enough for use with a wheelchair. The entrance via the front door includes a step of ca. 7 inches; there is a 7- inch step up into the sitting room, into all other rooms there is a half inch threshold. All bedrooms and the shower/WC room are upstairs. The stairs have 12 treads and strong banisters on both sides. Our friendly dog and two cuddly cats have access to the downstairs rooms but can be kept away from guests who suffer from an allergy to animal hair. Access to the garden is via several steps without hand rails. The garden is only partially fenced and close to a single track road with fairly fast traffic at times. Please be aware that 1) there are low branches on some of the apple trees, 2) in the nearby paddock there is a pond, 3ft/1m deep in places, and 3) the present cockerel has been known to unexpectedly attack humans if he thinks that they are after his free range hens. We strongly recommend that potential guests with special problems discuss their particular needs with us before booking.
